Huge difference with new belt

My vacuum wasn't picking up debris from carpet like it used to. I thought the beater roller needed replacing. But the real problem was the belt had stretched and was slipping. The new belt was so much shorter than mine, I thought I'd gotten the wrong one. But with the new belt, the vacuum is working again like new.
