Excellent lighter variation on the 90s Sanitaire upright that I have owned for years. This is a very powerful machine with good suction and a sturdy construction. I did replace the provided wooden brushroll with the standard VGII metal version-my house is mostly mid-pile carpet. Also, if you prefer an easier bag change, look into getting the ST converter-great filtration from these bags!

Ggreat suction on my wool carpets

I purchased this model as it is "very similar" to my Eureka 5.5 upright which I still have since buying it in 1988. I have a smaller home. At my age it is now nice to not have to carry a cleaner down stairs and up. This Sanitaire has stronger carpet and floor suction, Great improvement. The cord is thick and I am hesitant to wrap it "all" around the "plastic" holder for now. Owned since August 2024.
